We seek to advocate for our right to clean air by leading the effort in favor of the College of William & Mary becoming a smoke-free campus.
In doing so, we aim to (a) protect the health and safety of William & Mary students, faculty, staff, and visitors on campus, (b) create a healthier and cleaner campus environment in line with existing sustainability initiatives, and (c) join the ranks of the 1,757 universities across the nation that have adopted smoke-free and tobacco-free campus policies. Please sign and share our petition to indicate your agreement with our efforts!
Please see our Smoke-Free Campus Policy for more details: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_tF-Psg4QH533b...
This petition was created by the William & Mary Public Health Club. We readily acknowledge that there are many considerations and complexities to this issue and we will eagerly work with university administrative bodies, students, staff, and community members to ensure that any campus-wide policy will be considerate of all individuals and reflect our community ideals.
We appreciate any and all comments, questions, and concerns of community members. Please feel free to email our Executive Board at [email protected] or our Organization Advisor, Dr. Eric Garrison, at [email protected].
