We, the International Students of Bard, would like to bring the attention of the Bard Administration to this urgent matter. Several international students have expressed a desperate need for free storage at Bard College over the summer. Because most of us go home (for many of us this means thousands of miles away) for summer, it is essential that we have easier means of storing all the things we cannot take back with us. We need to be able to store our things on campus for the following reasons: 1. Most storage facilities off campus charge about $50 a month, which amounts to $150 dollars for the entire vacation, which is a big financial burden at the end of the year when money is tight anyway. 2. Most of us don't have cars so we have to rely on shuttles or other people with cars to lug things back and forth, which is highly inconvenient and sometimes impossible.
