The current weekly summer pricing rates for domestic/international students is $67/$41 respectively. With the current billing policy, each week domestic students have to pay $26 more, for no good reason.
Often, it's true that international students have to pay more to get home, or they have complications with visas and such. This is why the price is lower for international students. While in some cases this may be true, it doesn't justify the reason for all domestic students to have to pay more. The policy makes an inherit false assumption that all domestic students don't have to pay hefty prices or don't have any complications with getting home too.
The goal of this petition is to create billing equality for all students on campus this summer, but at the lowest possible rate. This doesn't increase international rates, but lowers domestic rates to the international rate. Equalizing the rate for all students at $41 weekly.
If you are domestic, the administration doesn't care that you may live in the far corners of the United States, if you have general complications with getting home, or about your financial situation.
If you have domestic friends, you're helping them save money so they can save it for alternate uses.

I would be for designating states outside a specified radius with the States so that they qualify for the same rates that international students subscribe to.

Living 2000 miles from home is just as expensive as flying abroad. Makes no sense that I am paying extra just because I live in the same country.
