Brother Andrew O'Gara was the paramount mover and shaker of Parkchester, Bronx. His commitment to better the community and borough overall, was second to none. He exemplified the potential of Bronx citizens and always strived to serve and protect the community in which he loved so much. He worked tirelessly and joyfully to inspire, console, energize and celebrate all of the families living in or around the Parkchester community. His positive and dedicated influence on education and compassion made Parkchester a better place when he was alive. For this and so much more, St. Raymond High School for Boys is asking our local Parkchester officials to honor a man that is remarkable in every way, by co-naming the street in front of the school he was Principal at for 12 amazing years. We, the people of the Bronx, are requesting the co-naming of St. Raymond Avenue in front of St. Raymond High School for Boys, to be named Brother Andrew O’Gara Lane.

Brother Andrew was a legend at St Rays. He did so much for the neighborhood and for all us kids who went there. About time he got some recognition.
