Bring on the beaver!

We want to send a loud and clear message to the Corinth City Council that we want Buc-ee’s to come to Corinth. We have waited years for development along I35 to lower taxes. We feel that this would be great for our community and put Corinth on the map!

Sign the petition to the right and pass it on.

Buc-ee's, the Texas sized gas station is wanting to come to Corinth Texas, right off I35. Specifically, I35 and Corinth Parkway, to the south. This would be located on the property just behind the Corinth Police station. Buc-ee's is NOT a truck stop, but similar to a super sized convenience store. It includes a 60,000-square-foot building on 20-acres, but officials stated they could build the same building on 8-acres. The plans include employing a minimum of 150 people, paying workers 30 to 40 percent more than minimum wage, and 96 gas pumps. Remember that Corinth Parkway will start construction at the end of summer. They are going to put the freeway over Corinth Parkway, redesign the intersection, and add an additional lane on the frontage road.

I live very close to this location. I do feel this is a great opportunity to bring jobs and revenue to Corinth, TX. Traffic is coming to Corinth, TX with or without Buc-ees due to I-35 construction.

I have lived in the neighborhood right by the proposed site for 12 years. This is a great opportunity for Coribth and I hope city leaders do not pass it up. People are afraid of change but it's coming, working it's way up I35 no matter what. If not Buckees, it'll be something else that may not allow so many job opportunities or have as much profit to the community. It'll be nice to just walk a block or so to get milk.

The CEDC tried. To generate business tax revenue on successfully. We had a Tom Thumb that was supposed to come to town became a hospital. There have been other projects as well. While Hickorycreek has prospered, the largest of the Lake Cities has trailed far behind. We need this to allow for infrastructure development and growth without breaking the homeowners backs.

For years, I have seen business move into the south of Swisher for Hickory Creek to get the tax benefits. it's about time Corinth wakes up and actively goes after some business opportunities. We can't survive as just a bedroom community!

My entire family is 100 percent behind having Buc-ees come to Corinth. It will offer terrific employment opportunities, contributing to our local economy. And as travelers, we are huge fans of Buc-ees!

Buc-ee's will make a good neighbor to those residents nearby. Other business would not care how their building sat in relation to homes in the area. Buc-ee's is considering that where they really have no obligation to do so.

Corinth needs the tax generating benefits of a successful enterprise like Buc-ees and utilize the commercially zoned land in Corinth
