Petition to Bring Texas Roadhouse to Lenoir City
Lenoir City has experienced steady residential and commercial growth over the past several years, yet one request continues to unite our community regardless of age, occupation, or political affiliation:
We would like a Texas Roadhouse.
This isn’t a new idea. In fact, if local social media is to be believed, it has been requested approximately every 17 minutes since the invention of the internet.
A Texas Roadhouse would provide additional dining options, create local jobs, generate tax revenue, and give residents one less reason to drive across the county just to acquire a basket of rolls, cinnamon butter, & diabetes.
More importantly, it would allow future Facebook posts to focus on entirely new topics, such as roundabouts, mysterious loud booms, helicopters, and whether anyone else’s power flickered.
This petition is intended to demonstrate genuine community interest while also giving our collective comment section a well-earned day off. We believe Lenoir City is more than capable of supporting a Texas Roadhouse, and we respectfully encourage company representatives to consider our growing community for a future location.
Until that day arrives, we ask everyone to remain calm, drive safely, and resist the overwhelming urge to comment, “We need a Texas Roadhouse,” on every single post that appears online.

We need better options for dine in restaurants in our town. With the population increasing rapidly, housing going up everywhere, and only a few restaurant options aside from Mexican restaurants it is much needed!
I’m signing this because we need a Texas Roadhouse closer to us, and it would be more convenient than driving to Maryville or Farragut. If we put one where the old Ruby Tuesday’s location is, I’m sure it would have lots of business and make everyone in Lenoir City happy as a cucumber.
