Bruce Weckworth; a one of a kind coach, leader, and role model for thousands of students and alumni of Curry College. Due to budget cuts Bruce was let go from his current positions as the varsity women’s softball head coach and the Student Athlete Recruitment & Welfare Coordinator. For those of you who have had the opportunity and pleasure to get to know Bruce over his 38 year commitment to Curry College, you could see how devoted and committed he has been to the success and prosperity of this institution. For someone who has dedicated countless hours to their work and may very well know every student who has ever stepped foot on Curry’s Milton campus, the fashion of Bruce being laid off was unjust. Please join us in showing your support for this upstanding member of the Curry community.

we have known Bruce for many years and I am sad and angry upon hearing of his abrupt dismissal. My daughter played softball for 4 years for Bruce and he was a great coach and mentor, he was always there for his student athletes whenever needed. Bruce made sure they did well academically as well. My niece chose Curry college because of Bruce and was excited to play softball for him as her coach. She is heartbroken as well as my whole family. Please reconsider and keep Bruce for the benefit of Curry College!
Bruce was one of the reasons I chose Curry College. He made my four years there something I will never forget. He’s irreplaceable!
As long as bruce is not employeed by curry college, they will never receive a donation from again
Bruce is awesome! He would always make you feel so welcome and would always check in on you! He has a heart of Gold, whenever I would see him he would instantly make my day better. Curry needs someone like him who truly cares about the student body and he doesn’t just know you by first name he knew if you played a sport or not, what position you played and your major. Bruce cares and does so much! Study halls with Bruce were the best. There is no other like Bruce. BRING BACK BRUCE. #bringbackbruceweckworth
The very first faculty member I met at Curry. He made my transition so much easier because he actually cares about the students. He the one of the best people to have ever been at Curry... Curry get it together and stop being selfish.
Bruce Weckworth was a horrible coach, played favorites (who weren't good) and was very creepy.
For once, Curry administration did the right thing by getting rid of "Weckworthless". Long-time losing record in softball, and as Welfare Coordinator for student athletes only supported those he deemed worthy. This guy was way over-hyped, and was a do nothing type of bureaucrat who had been in one place too long. Addition by subtraction for Curry College. Even Curry and their ultra-political President wouldn't get rid of those bringing REAL value due to layoffs. But under cover of Covid pandemic, why not get rid of some dead wood? Which is exactly what happened here.

BRING BACK BRUCE WECKWORTH: The face of Curry, the supporter of all students that have stepped foot on Curry’s campus. He has given Curry so much time and effort with supporting all students with their academics, personal lives, and sports. Bruce was always wearing a smiling and eager to help make Curry a better place and without him Curry isn’t complete.
