the council finally put a stop to the golf cart program and agreed we need a real vote on this. honestly im still in shock that we pulled it off but we need to stay sharp until this is officially in the books.
We want the roll out of the Golf Cart Project stopped immediately and brought to a community vote. Prior to this vote, we would also like to have all proposed changes to the community posted online and placed in the local newspapers.
We have cars, trucks, bicycles, scooters, golf carts, senior scooters, motorcycles. What do these all have in common. They're all on the main road now. So little kids in wagons and carts are next?? No way! That's just unsafe! *smh* When does it end?

This project should not go through without a public referendum. The community should have the desicion as to whether this is the direction that they want for the town. The taxpayers should be making this decision not counsel

I may not live in Chase but I do own a business there. I believe this golf cart idea should have had way more exposure to the citizens and their thoughts taken into consideration before it was implemented.

I have no objection to designated routes for the carts, I do stongly object to all roads in Chase with a posted speed of 30 km particularly when the carts will likely not be used in inclement weather. I do live in Chase full time, I do vote and my vote helps to elect village council.

I feel that there needs to be more thought put into this program. It is outrageous to ask vehicles to drive 30 km an hour!! People have jobs to go to and things to do. They are unable to keep people from speeding in a school zone --what would make people keep that speed limit through the whole town? Limit the area or turn down the idea!

This initiative clearly needs more thought and input from citizens. Main thoroughfares should not be impacted, perhaps only bike lanes used & emergency responders need to get to their stations in a timely manner. Also, need to plan downtown parking for these things so, leaving roll out until Spring seems practical.

Whats is traffic going to be like when there is a accident on the main highway and it gets closed. All the traffic goes thru town. Can you imagine what itll be like with golf carts added.

Good job mayor Berrigan let's just screw over the whole community because a few people think this is a good idea.. maybe do some actual planning and think about what this community needs
