This petition is to be presented to law makers of the Village of Shiloh, IL.
The purpose of this petition is to consult the community regarding the proposal of an ordinance to allow Golf Carts and Neighborhood Vehicles in the Village of Shiloh. These vehicles are used for convenient transportation around neighborhoods, as well as to city sporting and entertaining events, and our local restaurant and shopping patronage.
Drivers will be required to follow a set of rules regarding safe operation of the vehicle, as well as equipment for the safety of its passengers and the community.
If you have a golf cart or a neighborhood vehicle, or are considering purchasing one, and/or are okay with the use of such within your neighborhood, please take a moment to sign the petition.

I am currently organizing the feedback from our neighbors to prepare for a meeting with village officials. People have very clear ideas on how we can keep our streets safe while allowing for better local travel.

Yes, for golf carts to be used in Wingate, school/daycare pickup and around town!
As long as everyone drives responsible and keep the music down. I know the kids love it and it's fun for those who own one.
Hi Tom! The ordinance will have sanctions for those that don’t follow the guidelines. That is the main reason why we want to enforce this. Most communities (Belleville, Mascoutah, Fairview Heights) already have one in place and it works great for them. This also will create some revenue for the Village as drivers will have to pay a permit.
Absolutely, this is a big neighborhood and it’s a lot safer than driving a vehicle around with our kids running around.
Golf carts on very eco friendly and provide safe and fun transportation for families, I love this idea for the Village of Shiloh and its communities!

Very family oriented neighborhood, with great people. Holds events for children and neighbors all the time. Driving a golf cart is much safer to travel by than young teenagers blaring music in a car as well
