If you are a golfer in Coaldale Alberta this is your chance to ask to become part of a pilot project to test the viability of allowing you to legally drive you golf cart right from your home to the Land O' Lakes golf course.
Right now this pilot project is in the works but the current draft is limited to only the residents of one cul-de-sac (Fairway drive). A sample size this small will severely limit the usefulness of the data set for this project. We need both controlled and uncontrolled intersections, and a more representative sample of the roadways and traffic in our community.
If you live in Cottonwood, Westgate Landing, or other nearby neighborhood, right now is your chance to speak up and ask to be included in the project as it will probably be moving forward this spring or summer. Lets get this petition supported and in front on the Alberta transportation minister this spring so that we can make the project better, and be allowed to keep our carts at home. Win win!

The momentum behind this proposal demonstrates a clear desire for more inclusive transit options within our community. This growing interest provides a compelling foundation as we prepare to advocate for a broader pilot project scope.

There has never been an incident that proves this to be unsafe. It’s been safe for years and can continue to not be a problem in a neighbourhood that has the luxury of having a golf course. Let’s get a plan in place to continue this luxury as we go forward.
Good idea I’m on board . Being a golfer at Land O lakes I would think of purchasing my own cart if I could drive it to the coarse I live on aspen drive would be great
Please include Cottonwood Drive and surrounding area and the pilot project
Driving a golf kart is way safer then a moped
Should allow all golf carts on the roads provided they meet guidelines. Would be nice to use carts in town to do errands. Would make us a greener community.

I live on the course and would love to be able to drive my cart to the pro shop and clubhouse.
