Good job mayor Berrigan let's just screw over the whole community because a few people think this is a good idea.. maybe do some actual planning and think about what this community needs

This whole thing is ridiculous. How on earth did the "majority" indicate they were in favourite of it at the meeting. Must have been a different meeting than the one I was at.

I do not agree with the golf carts I don't believe the community even had a say in it whatsoever we were just told which is not right and putting all roads down to 30 it is absolutely bull if the seniors want to golf carts well golf carts are meant for golf course if they can't walk around town or the village so say Then invest in a scooter or maybe they should be doing the scooters and having lights on them and having them insured and have permits on them as well

Seriously...?? Who thinks this sh#t up....?? We are not an exclusive "gated" community. We are a "working" town. I was so disappointed when I heard THIS was the big announcement.......*sigh

We have cars, trucks, bicycles, scooters, golf carts, senior scooters, motorcycles. What do these all have in common. They're all on the main road now. So little kids in wagons and carts are next?? No way! That's just unsafe! *smh* When does it end?

How much money is being spent by the BC Liberals for this project? I'm sure a lot of residents would like to see this money spent on our other initiatives like the Skate Park and the Splash Park!!

I think it is very dumb to have golf carts driving on public streets with full-size vehicles if you want to ride the golf cart go to a golf course

Allowing golf carts on to the roads is a big mistake. Chase attracts tourist from all over, when out of town visitors(workers, truckers etc.) Come to our town they won't obey, they will act as if nothings changed and it may cause accidents. Having to drive 30 is asking a lot, your testing everyone's patience who don't have time for this. And I can't believe the mayor and council let it get to this level, give your heads a shake and realize this is a community, this isn't what's good for you it has to work out for EVERYONE .

This is wrong and should not be allowed. For the few that can afford or have a golf cart, their taxes will not cover the cost of roads for them. The roads or new path ways that will need to be built or brought up to standards for cart will be costly. And I for one do not want my tax money going towards this. Don't these people have cars? We live in a rural community and the majority of people have vehicles, why does the town council want to make this change? Which counselors have golf carts they want to run? This is a expense the residents of Chase do not need!! They have already added water meters and are charging us for the water that comes into our home with the equal going into the sewer.

Sounded like a neat idea at first but the dynamics for a few people who can afford them just don't work in chase. Qualicum has way more money than chase residents do so will work better there. Use the cash for a skateboard park for the older kids. No splash park. The little ones already have a wading pool and tons of playgrounds. Let's get the skateboard park!
