It has come to our attention that the Sandestin Owners Association (SOA) is considering a proposal to restrict the use of Sandestin Owners' Golf Carts to owners and immediate family only (GOLF CART USE RESTRICTION). While this proposal has NOT been added to the agenda for the December 9, 2010 SOA meeting, we have been informed that it will be a last minute item added on December 8, 2010 and therefore giving only 24 hours notice to owners to oppose and challenge it. This proposed GOLF CART USE RESTRICTION will effect the following: -Owners with golf carts -Owners considering purchasing a golf cart -Any potential guests of owners with golf carts -Any potential purchasers of Sandestin property wanting to have a golf cart -Businesses in Sandestin benefiting from the guests use of golf carts on the resort (Why use a car when you can go to Publix in a golf cart?) How does that effect all of us? Well, if you let your family or guest use your home AND YOUR golf cart, then you are subject to a $100 fine. Your guest will also experience the harassment of being stopped and interrogated. This has got to stop before it becomes a rule! Please sign our petition with comments to voice your opinion against this GOLF CART USE RESTRICTION affecting the quiet enjoyment of your home AND YOUR golf cart in Sandestin. Please forward to your Sandestin friends and neighbors. It does not matter if they own a golf cart or not. If they want to own one in the future, want to sell their property to someone who wants a golf cart and/or who wants to enjoy their neighbors golf cart from time to time, then they too should sign this petition today!
