You maybe aware or not that on the 10th July a gentleman was knocked down and critically injured as he was crossing the road when the traffic lights were red by a 17 year old riding a motored Bicycle. The gentleman in question is a much loved husband, father and grandfather who was doing nothing wrong but happened to be crossing the road when the lights were red and he had right of way.
These motored bicycles do not come under any road legislation, the riders do not have to have a licence, they do not pay insurance or road tax and they do not have to wear safety helmets and more importantly they do not have to be of a certain age.
Please sign and send to all your contacts so that we may have ammunition to take to the Government to get this changed.
We are approaching 250 signatures and need to maintain this momentum. Please send this link out to your contacts right now.

As a motorbike, car driver. These bicycles are beyond dangerous to pedestrians and any other road using vehicle. They follow no rules and have no safety whatsoever. How can the brakes of a bicycle stop a motorised vehicle ? It's just stupid

Ridiculous that these things are allowed on the road. They are just cheap motors strapped to a bike frame with zero safety testing. My neighbor got hit by one last month and the kid just rode off. Needs regulation now.

About time! I see them flying through red lights all the time. No plates, no insurance, nothing. If you want to ride a motorized vehicle on public roads you should follow the same rules as everyone else.

My son was nearly taken out by someone on one of these motor bikes on the path. The rider had no helmet and looked about 15. The government is asleep at the wheel letting these kids drive unregistered motorbikes on our streets.

BAN THEM. They go way to fast for a push bike. Total death traps.
