You maybe aware or not that on the 10th July a gentleman was knocked down and critically injured as he was crossing the road when the traffic lights were red by a 17 year old riding a motored Bicycle. The gentleman in question is a much loved husband, father and grandfather who was doing nothing wrong but happened to be crossing the road when the lights were red and he had right of way. These motored bicycles do not come under any road legislation, the riders do not have to have a licence, they do not pay insurance or road tax and they do not have to wear safety helmets and more importantly they do not have to be of a certain age.
