We've taken part every year since, our little group of four has multiplied into a group of fourteen, plus a handful who showed up to support and many more who donated their money. We already have a good number of new members of our group who are looking forward to participating this coming winter.
A few years ago, SOCT had stopped the penguin plunge at Quassy and combined it with the one held in Danbury, the reason why as I was told was to enhance the experience. Fine by us, we didn't mind and traveled to Danbury to take part the last couple years. This year they had decided to do away with the Danbury plunge as well.
I'm asking people if they are interested in bringing the penguin plunge back to Middlebury and Quassy to sign this petition and pass on. You can also contact SOCT by calling them at 203-230-1201, email at [email protected]

The feedback from local participants is pouring in and it is clear that everyone misses the Quassy plunge. I am working on organizing a direct meeting with the organizers to present these signatures.

I think that by eliminating Plunges in Middlebury and Danbury will cut down on the number of plungers and donations. Farmington is just too far.
A lot more people would actually committ to the plunge being closer to this area
Bring it back to Quassy!!!

I am sure the SOCT has the talent to market the various sites better and make the penguin plunge more successful through out Connecticut. It seems to me reducing the number of sites is not the right direction. Bring the penguin plunge back to Middlebury !!!
