Since being founded in 1974, the Priest Lake Invitational (PLI) has been a mainstay in North Idaho and an event that was looked forward to by many for 50 years. It has raised funds for numerous causes in the Priest Lake area including Search and Rescue, Save the Thoroughfare, Northern Lights Project Share, Priest Lake Educational Fund, and others while providing a memorable day of fun and prizes for the participants.
Unfortunately, we were not allowed to put on the tournament in 2025. In a final effort to bring back the PLI and let the powers that be know how much this tournament is missed we are asking our past players to let their voices be heard. Please sign and feel free to forward on to other past players, hopefully we will be back in 2026.

I think I was 15 or 16 when I played in my first PLI. Hoping my son can do the same at 15 next summer!
I played in the first PLI which was actually called the Jalopy Open back in 1974 put on by John Campbell... I think I have only missed one or two over the last 50 years ... Too many great memories ... It has always been our highlight weekend every summer at Priest... Please, lets bring it back...
Frank and I have participated in this golf tournament for over 40 years and love the memories, friendships and the fact that the tournament gives back to the local community. I hope it can continue to be one of the best events of the summer and one that many, many families have enjoyed for 50 years!
I've been visiting the area for over 15 years and always look forward to the PLI. Would love to see it come back even if another time of the summer not to cut into the busy weekend days around the 4th.
This event raises a funds for local services and local education. I'm not sure why it would be unsupported. Please allow this to return and generate much needed funds.
Even though the tourney tied up the course for the day, I love being able to support the local grade school and library.

I can’t help but think the money raised to help fund Priest Lake’s fire suppression efforts far exceeds whatever damage was caused to the course. Make the players sign liability forms or whatever for the golf carts and get this thing back in action.
