I just received word that the grad dinner is officially back on the calendar for us. This outcome belongs entirely to the 922 people who believed this tradition was worth saving. I am honestly stunned we pulled this off and cannot thank you enough for making it happen.

I am honestly stunned by how many of you want this dinner back and it is entirely thanks to your passion that anyone is paying attention. We are getting so near to 500 signatures that I have to ask you to send this link to a few more people today so we can hit that mark together.

I am honestly stunned that we are nearing one hundred signatures already because I truly thought I was the only one who missed this tradition. If you know anyone else who wants to see the dinner return please send them our way to help us get over this hump.

As a parent, I should have at least been asked if I was happy to pay for the grad dinner or not before any decisions were made. We support our kids through year 12 and the grad dinner was our chance to celebrate with them. Bring back the SHC grad dinner!
My graduation dinner was the best night of my entire schooling life, it's a final chance to be with teachers and peers before you all go your seperate ways. Hope you girls get to experience it, good luck xx
Graduation dinner is one of the biggest highlights of year 12 - a final opportunity to sit down as a cohort and bond/celebrate over a meal. It's definitely not fair to be deprived of that right of passage!
Sharing graduation with our child is one of the most significant life events and having two previous Sacred Heart College graduates these nights have been such amazing celebrations between students, parents and school staff. Schooling is advocated to be a partnership between school and families. Sad we weren't consulted.
Went home today to tell my parents the news that there is no more graduation dinner, and mum told me she had already bought a dress for the occasion. Waste of money for parents? Then why is my mum so excited that she bought a dress 10 months in advance. Bring it back.
You say the dinner is too expensive yet you make around $10K per student, come on, bring the dinner back you bloody tightass!
Getting rid of all good traditions! If you can afford your school fees what's a one off payment that's just enjoyable for the parents. School is losing its Soul!!

25 years ago I attended the SHC Senior graduation dinner with my family & to this I remember being so proud of my achievements & being able to celebrate with my family & friends. In 5 yrs time I expect to do the same with my daughter. SHC is about tradition, this can't be lost especially in this time of change amongst the schools!
