Getting rid of all good traditions! If you can afford your school fees what's a one off payment that's just enjoyable for the parents. School is losing its Soul!!

Mr Byrne coming up with every excuse to stop this from happening. Supposedly over 70 families can't attend because of financial reasons, what about all the families who have bought dresses and suites for this occasion. Fkn rediculiuos

This is so disappointing. This night is not only a celebration for the kids but also the adults who get to see not only our own children graduate but also their mates that they have been schooling with since reception. To say that the year level can go out somewhere privately is not unifying these kids, it's segregating them. This is a time for them to 'dress up' and enjoy their last event as high school students together before heading out into the big world.... Don't take away a tradition that SHC has had for over 30 years

25 years ago I attended the SHC Senior graduation dinner with my family & to this I remember being so proud of my achievements & being able to celebrate with my family & friends. In 5 yrs time I expect to do the same with my daughter. SHC is about tradition, this can't be lost especially in this time of change amongst the schools!

DO NOT CANCEL SHC GRAD DINNER!

I am disgusted by SHC plans to cancel the graduation dinner. How dare you cancel such a fabulous celebration for students and their parents with no consultation. The parents pay for the meals and drinks - you can't say it is a matter of costs. If it is a matter of the cost of decorations etc - for goodnesd sake we have paid thousands and thousands in school fees over 13 years to the Catholic School system and you can't even host a celebration dinner for the final year. Why not add $30 per student (or whatever a fair amount is to the $10k plus we already pay in fees for Year 12 - it's hardly going to be noticed by the parents. You had 122 tables x 10 per table - 1,220 people at last year's graduation dinner - you can hardly say it's not a popular event!!!!!

I know that students from year 12 always really looked forward to this event (SHC grand dinner). For them it was a 'right of passage' and a reward after many years at school. I don't know the reasons why school decided to stop this tradition but I am supporting this petition to renew it. thanks
