The commissioners finally agreed to restore our original sign. This outcome belongs entirely to the people who spoke up for our community identity. I am truly humbled by how this turned out.

Final supporters
This petition is to bring back the nostalgic "Florida's Best Kept Secret" sign that Navarre, Florida residents and visitors overwhelmingly want to keep. The Santa Rosa Board of County Commissioners took it upon themselves to change the sign without consulting the residents of this area. Please show that there are more than 58 people who care about this issue.

The new slogan is just not great...Florida's most relaxing "place"? Sounds like we could not figure out which word to use. It's all about the beach in Navarre. This slogan does not reflect that.
Protest scheduled for Friday, 9 June, 5 pm., at the foot os the bridge. That $700K sure could have gone to better use here in Navarre (where most of it came from) than signs and a dumb slogan!
Hard to believe a local marketing firm was not consulted. Seems odd to use an out-of-state firm with no"ear to the voice of the local people"!
I am a descendent of two pioneer families. I grew up on Navarre beach. I remember well the building of the bridge to the island. It was a well kept secret back in those days. I think it perfectly depicts our history.
Love our old sign. Leave it. Put the new ones on I-10 and 87 and on the beach but leave this one at the entrance.
Stop wasting money! There was nothing wrong with the sign or slogan.
Bring back the old sign!

I am an owner on Navarre Beach. I leave early am and have seen people go towards on coming traffic because their looking for the sign. Plus the original sign represents Navarre Beach. Money should of been spent on other parts of our beach.
