I have been meeting with school board members this week to demand Mr. Bastian’s reinstatement. Email your district representative today and tell them that we expect full transparency regarding this firing.

Mr. Bastian yelled at me all the time, sent me to the office, gave me a hard time when I played (hockey) poorly, and guess what?? I DESERVED it every time. He was a great teacher, very fair, and have a ton of respect for him as an educator and man.
Mr. B has always had the students best interests in mind. He's hard on his students because he knows and sees the potential they have in life. Life isn't always going to be easy so why should a class in high school be any different. Stop punishing a man for doing his job.
I have learned from Mr. Bastian not only how to excel in my global history class, but how to excel in any class. He wrote me a letter of recommendation about my character and it got me into the University of Notre Dame. I sign this to support a great teacher and not to bring negativity to ACS.
Mr. Bastian was one of my favorite teachers and he was a great person. I spent time in the hospital during my time in his class and he always sent work and help if I needed it. He is supportive and truly a great teacher.
Mr. Bastian by far is one of the best teachers at ACS!! To lose him would be a great disservice to our children. All three of my children have loved him and his class. My husband was one of his students too. He really cares about his students and about their education!!
I have his in high school 11 years ago and loved every min of it
Great teacher, who was strict but controlled. Need more of passion in teachers today!!

When I started college to become a teacher with a concentration in history it was because Mr. Bastian actually got me to like and enjoy the subject. I never did get the teaching degree due to my interest changing but he is the reason why I still love the subject.
