FYI.. exit out of the donation page afterwards.. your name will still be signed! sorry! It has come to my attention that to have the board take this petition seriously, we must have names, no anonymous. please do not check the box for anonymous when you sign! thank you! To Whom It May Concern: On June 22, 2009, five of the nine members of the Owen J. Roberts School Board including: Gene Endress, Ed Kerner, John Dutton, Debbie Bissland, and Karen Zelley, motioned to terminate the superintendent Dr. Myra Forrest. This motion was not on the agenda, nor was it given a cause. These five members have disgraced the name of the OJR school district and it is time to take action. Dr. Myra Forrest has been the superintendent for four years now. She is active in all school activities and programs including: sports, music, and clubs. She has been spotted cheering at sporting events year round and even attends the banquets post season. She also has been viewed participating and watching concerts at all schools in the district. With her enthusiasm and love for children and their future, she has been an idol and hero to all. Since she has arrived, clubs and sports have been more successful then ever. This past year, Owen J. Roberts has won eight pac10 championships, has had a record number of Odyssey of the Mind teams reach championships, and has had numerous Latin students place high in state competitions. Not only has she been supportive of extra-curricular activities, she has helped to increase student scores as well. By working with teachers and staff, she has created a student-centered district. Students have had increased SAT scores, grades, and PSSA scores. The class of 2009 had the best PSSA scores seen at OJR when they were tested in 11th grade. Her educational leadership has led Owen J. Roberts to exceed average expectations. Due to her outstanding work here, students have been accepted to more prestigious colleges and gone forward to accomplish great things with their future. In addition to academics and activities, losing Dr. Forrest will cost the district a great deal of money. Not only will we be buying out her contract, we will have to pay for legal fees. With the way the economy is falling, everyone is constantly clinging to what little money they have left. With increased costs in the district, complaints will definitely be sure to rise. She has blessed everyone with her presence here at Owen J. Roberts. Not only are students encouraged to do their best and reach for their goals, but teachers and parents are comfortably protected under her watch. She is a more than exceptional superintendent for our district and deserves to be treated just as well. She has put her life into Owen J. Roberts and has been fair and polite towards all criticism directed toward her from the board. This petition is to request actual reasoning and fact behind her termination other than the five board members' own spite. It is also to reverse the decision behind the five members of the school board and bring her back as our beloved superintendent once again. It will take one of the five to motion, and one of the five to second. Everyone has heard of Myra's starfish story. Each starfish was thrown back into the water because it meant something to that specific starfish. If Myra is worth saving to you, your friends, your family, your relatives, your teacher, your coach, your son, your daughter, or your school, please sign this petition to save her. Every signature matters. Thank you, Tracey Anne McMeekin OJR class of 2010

Dr. Forrest is the best thing that ever happened to this district. Why would they get rid of someone who actually cares about the students?

Total garbage. These board members are acting like children and punishing the kids for no reason. Bring her back!

She was always at the games and concerts. You could tell she really loved OJR. This is so unfair.
