This would stop shoppers from going to Cwmbran where we know parking is free. We need the trade in Newport come on Council do the right thing.
Help Newport High Street businesses!!! Make it easier for shoppers! Most shoppers (like me) find it easier to use the alternative like Cwmbran as there is free parking!
Cwmbran has had free parking for as long as I can remember and it’s thriving, I don’t understand what NCC are trying to do to our town, surely they should be encouraging people to shop there!!!
ALL car parks not just NCC ones Should have at least 2 hours free parking to encourage higher footfall and trade Newport Town has great potential.
Bring back longer free parking costs me a fortune on Saturdays when I park for my daughters dance classes
Don't let Newport die....get some life back there
Newport needs this, with cheaper rates so our shops can stay open

It costs me £1 to park just to run into the bus station to renew my son's bus pass, not even an hour free parking. Shopping...I go to Cwmbran I can take my time, have some lunch and do my food shopping with out costing an arm and leg to park... Come on Newport pull your socks up and the residents what they want.
