Help Bring Monroe Avenue Plaza Up to Code

Ensure Health/Safety, Improve Appearance, Safeguard Our Property Values
Dear Neighbor,
Concerned neighbors would like your support in petitioning the Town of Brighton and the plaza property owners (Rhinecliff Monroe Corporation) to:
Enforce/Comply with Town Codes and Improve Overall Condition of Monroe Avenue Plaza and Adjacent Vacant House (corner of Monroe and Rhinecliff)
- Properties have been neglected for many years—town codes are not followed.
- Issues include ongoing rodent infestation (actual image above).
- Current proposal for a minimal "face lift," affecting only a small portion of the plaza (former Otter Lodge area where a new tenant is seeking to move in), while positive, is not enough.

This Petition Could Help Improve the Rest of Monroe Avenue
While this petition is specific to the Monroe Avenue plaza, sending the town our concerns would hopefully inspire them to look at and make similar improvements on all of Monroe Avenue.
- While some minor improvements have been made to Monroe Avenue over the past 20 years, the larger traffic, pedestrian safety, aesthetic, and property value impact/issues still exist that have been noted in resident town vision plans.
Thank you in advance for your support! Together we can improve/help keep our town a safe, enjoyable place for us all to live.
