TO: SHERRI LEBAS SECRETARY, LOUISIANA DOTD In the interest of public safety, we the undersigned citizens of Bossier City, Louisiana, declare our urgent need for a traffic signal at the intersection of Highway 71 (Barksdale Boulevard) and Robert E. Lee. We request an exception to the state regulation declaring that we do not qualify for a light due to distance of less than ½ mile from the nearest signal. Because of significant increase in traffic, safely entering the highway for residents and school buses at this intersection has become quite difficult. The safety of the citizens of this area must be the highest priority and pre-empt any regulation prohibiting such.

ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS that we have to wait for a wreck to happen before they do something. put a light in already.
