On June 8th the communities of South Union and Cave Springs watched 3 life flight helicopters and an ambulance take off for the nearest trauma unit with victims from yet another accident at this location. This road intersects hwy 68-80 that is a state road that runs between Russellville and Bowling Green, KY. Please help the community by signing this petition and sharing it with friends who will sign it. Someone needs to hear our concerns, before people die.
Seeing 250 names on this list makes me realize that I am not the only one terrified to drive through that intersection every single morning. This many signatures proves that our neighborhood feels the same weight of anxiety that I do every time I pull onto the highway.

Seeing these names stack up reminds me that we are not the only ones terrified to drive through that intersection. We are getting very near one hundred signatures and I need everyone to send the link to three people right now so we can hit that goal before the next local meeting.

During harvest time there are hundreds of semis that use this intersection... all day long coming in and out of the elevator! The blind spot makes it very dangerous! A semi with 18,000 Bushels can’t get into traffic like the regular vehicle can!! Then it gets congested... people get impatient and careless!

I was in the car that was hit on Friday. Please, please, PLEASE put a light here. There’s been a need for it for years now. Please don’t wait anymore, save lives, put a light in.
Thank you.

As a 911 dispatcher and a career firefighter, I believe that it is important to look at clear facts like this and take action. It would be irresponsible not to take an action this simple, that could easily save lives.

I go through this intersection everyday. Something should be done. I’ve seen trucks have to sit and wait for 10 minutes to get enough of a break on each side to make the turn.

No more accidents....very bad intersection and this needs to be fixed before anybody else is hurt or killed...should have been a consideration when this road was originally constructed....the intersecting road, 73, leaves a blind spot for drivers coming from south union turning left onto 68/80...
