This petition is in support of Nathan Boron remaining an Officer with the St. Mary's Police Department, St. Marys, WV. Whereas, we, the undersigned, are aware of the internet videos and the local viral attention. We maintain the position that these videos are not justifiable causation for the termination of a sworn and trained Officer of the Law. Whereas, Officer Boron has built a respectable rapport with the community; with both its individual citizens and the community as a whole. Whereas, we recognize the need for education on the part of the Officer and that a reprimand is necessary; we support the City in a decision to educate and reprimand. Therefore, as patrons and citizens of the City of St. Marys we respectfully request that Officer Boron remain in his current position.
