We are owners of Chery’s Tiggo 7 and 8 Super Hybrid (PHEV), and we are calling on Chery Motor Australia to fix a fault in MY2026 builds so the car remembers its settings from one drive to the next. On Page 90 of the Manual, Drive Mode Memory is meant to appear in settings. For 2026 builds, it does not.

Right now, every time the car is switched off and restarted, key settings revert to default and have to be set again from scratch. This affects EV, HEV and Smart driving modes, as well as the energy recovery, or regen, level.

For a modern vehicle, this is frustrating, unnecessary, and distracting.

This is not how the car is meant to behave. MY2025 owners have shown that their settings stay exactly as configured (see screenshow), drive after drive, so this is a regression, not a design limitation.

The owner’s manual also states that settings should be retained, which means the car is not performing to its own documented specification.

Beyond the inconvenience, having to re-select these settings every time we drive takes attention away at the exact moment we are setting off. It also undermines the efficiency features that make the Super Hybrid worth owning in the first place.

We are asking Chery Motor Australia to release a firmware or OTA update that restores proper settings memory, matching the behaviour already present in MY2025 vehicles and described in the owner’s manual.

If you drive a Tiggo Super Hybrid affected by this issue, please add your name. The more owners who sign, the clearer it is that this needs a real fix, not a workaround.

I wasn't able to edit the petition once it was created, but just confirming this issue effects both 2026 builds of the 7 AND 8 Tiggo Hybrid

My Tiggo 7 Super Hybrid doesn’t hold the power management setting so every time I get in the car I have to change it to the smart setting otherwise my battery goes down to 15%.

I would like this to be fixed. Some times my car will remember my regen settings for 2 weeks but then can reset itself multiple times in one day. Very annoying

As a cherry T7 CSH ultimate owner I would love to have my preferred driving modes every time not that every time I turn off the car and it get resets

Have a Chery Tiggo 7 Ultimate CSH. I want my settings to save when it comes to Driving Modes and Regen Levels. Why must I always have to change it when I turn my car on again.

I’m finding a lot of irregularities with the software operations in the vehicle. They don’t tend to retain setting sometimes and I don’t believe they work well if you are using CarPlay and you go off-line at times with no Internet.

Because having to change settings like high regeneration, smart mode and child presence when the car has no passenger, every single time is just stupid
