Hi. I am Jesslyn Cooper the Vice President for Nothing Unique Organizations a non profit here in Lawrence KS we are looking for the community support to put on a black history parade downtown July 2024.

This parade you will learn about our African American history, our culture, and how we got to the place we are now. Learn more than what is just taught in our school. Our history is so much more than just slavery. It's about doing the impossible and setting trends. We plan to feature people like Ruby Nell Bridges, Marsha P. Johnson, Marcellus Gilmore Edson, and so many more. We will have floats from famous African American politics to athletes.
