The Algerians residing in BC-lower mainland kindly request the Algerian Consulate in Ottawa to make arrangement for providing proper consular services and allow its constituents to obtain their Algerian biometric passports. Given the high number of Algerians residing in Vancouver compared to the low number of personnel needed, sending personnel to arrange formalities that will allow us to fulfill our rights of obtaining a proper Algerian passport, is easier and economically more doable. Most Algerians residing in BC have families and cannot afford the cost and constraints related to travelling to Ottawa. The Last visit of the consulate personnel was not properly advertised and hence only a minority could have access to the services. We think it is unfair that cities like Quebec get this service and we don't. We urge you to analyze our situation. As Algerians we have the right to obtain a passport properly without the constraints of having to travel for mere fingerprints.

I have been hearing from so many of you who are struggling to plan your lives because you cannot secure a simple travel document without cross-country travel. Your stories about the financial strain and the impossible choices you face are pushing me to keep the pressure on the consulate until they acknowledge our community here in British Columbia.

Seeing this momentum grow reminds me how many of us are struggling with the exact same burden of travel just to secure our basic identity documents. This response proves that our community in British Columbia is tired of being overlooked and I am truly moved by how quickly you have gathered around this cause.

je suis toutes afait d'accord avec vous jai ma femme et son fils qui attende depuis 8 mois leurs passports alors que lembassade a envoyé des agent a vancouver ils ont meme pas appeler voila mon numero 6043966962 merci
We are a Algerian family of four living in Kelowna BC, it is hard for us and costly to travel to Ottawa to complete our passport process. Recently, I called the Algerian Embassy to get more details how to get the passport, the response was that they came on April 2015 in Vancouver and few people showed up. I've not been informed by mail/telephone about that visit, if the Algerian community is not large in BC, it is easier to inform people about the visit schedule by mail/telephone the same way we receive any updates from BC services. Cheers.
I need my algerian passport it has expired and i want to travel back home to see my grandparents please come back to vancouver
Me and my four kids need new Passports and and can't imagine flying Ottawa unless the consulat pays for us five to fly there but much cheaper and easier is for a couple of representatives from the Algerian consulat to come to Vancouver to do their duties.
it should not be the entire community that suits your constraints rather you should be the ones who should travel here. We cannot bear the cost of hundreds of people travelling whee a handful of you can!! Please do your work of serving the Algerian community the way you should or make it easier for them to be Algeriana nd keep on being algerian!!
we are waiting for a year to get the passport and we cant go to ottawa for finger prints. we need you to come here with well planned program this time
Hello Everybody !! I just called the consulate and the guy on the phone told me that there will be nobody coming to help us here. The only suggestion he gave me was was : SEND A PETITION THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS. The consulate can't do anything else.

mon passeport algérien est expiré depuis septembre 2015. j'ai appelé le consulat algérien et ils m'ont dit que je doit me dépasser à ottawa donc dépenser au moin 1000 dollars ! je leus ai demandé si ils étaient prêts à me rembourser mais il ont rigolé ! je savais qu'ils ne paieront pas mais j'ai demandé ça juste pour leur faire le point!
