Bell Aliant has acknowledged issues with Internet performance in its rural serviceareas of that makes using the Internet almost impossible because of large volumes of traffic.
Bell Aliant has a planned upgrade to correct the problem but has no firm date as to when they will upgrade their service to deal with this ongoing issue. They have indicated an upgrade "may" take place by the end of this year, leaving customers to suffer through terrible performance.
This is a basic service required for most daily activities such as banking, shopping and in some cases working.
Customers are not getting what they are paying for and such service is unacceptable.
We would like your support to have Bell Aliant correct this problem.

Currently in PEI paying $70 a month for 1.5Mbps "high speed". In Ontario I used to pay $60 for a 30Mbps connection. This is a jump from $2 per Mbps to $46.60 per Mbps! I know that since we are out in the country a bit, we may not be able to get the best speeds, but the price is atrocious and completely unjustified.
2-5mb/s tops stuck waiting hours for downloads, games always lag. Is useless and i pay over 100$ a month for it
Way to expensive and very slow.
bell aliant is trash ... they deny that theres anything wrong all the time yet when the network is overworked i get 1mbps i pay for up to 7 and its 80 a month ... if they agree its so bad then why charge so much ? the money they should have accuulated by now they should be able to drop fibre op island wide . pathetic huge companys have the monopoly and we cannot do anything . theres countrys who have there governments force the internet providers to give the best they can why cant we hold the same standard
Try installing EasyNetMonitor. You can set it up email Bell Aliant top brass everytime you can no longer ping www.Bellaliant.ca. Just google bell aliant top managers to get their names and their work email will be like this - [email protected]. I set it up yesterday and since then I have sent more than 50 emails to 8 different managers including the CEO. They should have 300 - 400 emails in their inboxes by Monday.
At the rate they are moving in our area, we will have high speed access/cell service out here by 2030.

The internet in Kingsclear is barely usable. We used to get speeds of 7 which was bad enough. Now we get speeds between 2 and 3 every night and weekends. We need this service for doing school work and report cards.
