Anglais (francais en bas SVP) Hi-speed accessibility is an issue which symbolizes and translates literally into the fair access to information and technology, impacting people on a personal, social and business level. We, the residents and property owners of Montfort strongly feel that the lack of hi-speed internet has become a huge handicap. The effects are felt in terms of delays, limitations, missed opportunities, higher costs and resultant losses on a daily basis. It is already difficult enough to subsist and thrive in a small town, almost 100 km. from a city centre, without having to also deal with very limited and primitive forms of technology. Instead of having tools to compensate for such a discrepancy, we are being denied their access. This is becoming an issue of unfair discrimination.... Kindly consider these important facts and dynamics: We are already set-up for hi-speed: the equipment/fibre-optics already live in a cabana, near the church/MRC pavilion, in the village/heart of Montfort itself. This is extremely frustrating and dumbfounding, especially considering that all communities, in all 4 directions of our growing town have hi-speed access; yet, we do not. One part of Wentworth-Nord has already been connected (i.e. Lac St. Victor) which further emphasizes that it is in fact \'everyone\'s turn\' in this community. Alternatives are practically non-existent (i.e.: very limited library access at 10-20 km away) or extremely financially prohibitive (i.e.: satellite internet), further compounding the dynamics explained above. We, the residents of Wentworth-Nord urgently appeal to Bell to immediately make hi-speed internet accessible in ALL areas of Wentworth-Nord. And if this is conceded within an accelerated time period (by June 30/2008), we, the undersigned will commit to a one-year contract with Bell Hi-speed Internet. L
