im still pushing the council on the planning application because maesteg really needs a place like this to bring some life back to the street. so many of you have messaged me saying the same thing and it honestly keeps me motivated to keep chasing them for an update.

im honestly blown away by how much this has picked up speed lately. it really feels like the town is finally getting behind the idea of having a spoons here and i cant wait to see what happens next.

This would bring a positive change to Maesteg town with lots of job opportunities. At the moment it's a ghost town with mostly charity shops and takeaways/cafés.
maesteg needs this, it's depressing driving through and seeing empty run down shops..value for money food and drink for all the family, and jobs...
Any major pub chain coming to maesteg has to be good news for the town . we need something too reverse the presant trend of pubs shuting their doors
Hot dog, chips and a pint of Strongbow please. Such good value for money! Maesteg has nowhere decent for a meal out since the closure of the Ranch and then Symphonies.
aslong as they dont outsourse jobs out of maesteg and actually keep it all at a decent price it should be good :)

Any business should be supported if it will increase regeneration in the community, as weatherspoons are a chain it more likely to be successful, which will mean long term employment for a number of individuals!
