Barry's Bay Soccer Field
An appeal to the Township of Madawaska Valley to allocate a soccer field for 2026.
This is Stage One of our plan to build a Multi-Sport Indoor Facility -- with future potential for lighting and irrigation, and the building in Stage Two of an indoor facility with walking track for seniors.

We the undersigned are players, supporters, and seniors living in Madawaska Valley who wholeheartedly support this initiative which would benefit life and community in the valley.
This facility should be considered an essential part of the growing Barry's Bay and surrounding community which will support healthy living year round and attract residents to the area.

I believe this sports facility will be integral to the future improvement and success of the community
I support this endeavor as youth sports build character and brings communities together.
As a retired soccer player from Nunavut, I believe this is important for youth and their mental health. It’s crucial to have opportunities to grow in a community because it encourages both youth and adults to participate, develop their skills, and become healthy, positive versions of themselves alongside their peers and family. Im proud to see this, gives people of soccer an opportunity to feel seen and understood!
Would be great to have a space dedicated for soccer. Especially with the World Cup coming to Canada this year
This would add greatly to the appeal of Barry's Bay while promoting community and personal well-being. Although this is an initiative that would require substantial investment, it could reasonably be developed through time.
Fully agree with most supporting comments.
A soccer field is a great start to support youth and youngsters.To develop competence in sport, continuity is needed. That means reliable acessible infrastructure/space.
