I am a resident of Summit County, and I agree with and support the following:

 * The Snyderville Basin/Park City community NEEDS additional, open to the public, indoor sporting and training facilities (e.g. turf field and hard court) to service growing athletic programs, including soccer, lacrosse, football, baseball, softball, track, basketball, volleyball, golf, wrestling, and team handball.

 * Each and every growing athletic program faces the challenges of inclement weather and limited training time and space, diminishing the length and quality of their competitive season, and limiting their abilities to meet program demands and expectations.

 * An additional indoor facility located in the Snyderville Basin/Park City area would: 1. alleviate over-crowding, scheduling stress, and user demand, on the Synderville Basin Recreation Fieldhouse, (where usage by some groups is limited and occasionally prohibitive due to lack of field space); 2. keep more residents staying local, buying local, rather than commuting to SLC for athletic venues, and save on travel costs; 3. allow student athletes better time slots for after school practices and reduce late school night practices; 4. allow teams to grow and accept more kids in their programs.

I have been reviewing the feedback provided by local athletic programs regarding the limitations of our current infrastructure. These accounts confirm that our lack of indoor capacity forces many families to travel long distances for necessary training space. I am currently preparing a formal proposal to share with the planning commission to illustrate the urgency of this requirement.

Sick of the commute. Winter is brutal here and the current spots are way too crowded.

Living in Park City means dealing with snow for half the year. Kids need somewhere to practice without driving all the way down the canyon every single night.

About time! The town is growing so fast but the facilities stayed the same. Get it done.

SO NEEDED. My girls are tired of 9pm practices just because that is the only slot left. Give our kids a proper place to play.

It makes no sense that we have to drive to Salt Lake for indoor training. Keep the money in our own community and build the facility.

My son plays lacrosse and we are always struggling to find any court time. The fieldhouse is booked solid months in advance. We really need this.
