It has always been a tradition that Barnard College HEOP/BOP graduating class receives their very own Graduation Ceremony. However, as of 2014 the ASEP administration has decided to change this graduation, and instead have a "Multicultural Graduation" in where member of Barnard College who identify as Latino, African-American, Asian, and Queer will able to attend this ceremony.

We the class of 2015 strongly believe that this decision neither is fair nor appropriate. As aHEOP/BOP class of 2015 we feel like we are being stripped of a tradition that is special and unique toHEOP/BOP. We came in as class, struggled and learned together as class in the summer of 2011 and we want and deserve a ceremony in where theHEOP/BOP class of 2015 ends this journey together and united in our ownHEOP/BOP Graduation Ceremony.
