This is a petition in support of a community dog area at Hunters Crossings. A large number Hunters Crossing residents are pet owners, half of which are dog owners. A small low cost off leash area on the premises will provide a multitude of benefits for pet owners and non-pet owners alike; including but not limited to, exercise, socialization, proper pet etiquette, public behavior training, and decrease in interference of other outdoor recreational areas. As we all know socialization and exercise is a vital part of a dogs health, both mentally and physically. Additionally an off leash area could allow older residence to properly exercise their dogs even if their mobility doesn't allow them to get around easily. An off leash area creates an inviting atmosphere for new and existing residents alike. A dog friendly community is a happy community!
