In creating a dog park, we hope to accomplish the following goals:
1. To establish a fenced in, off‐leash dog park where well‐behaved canine can exercise in a clean, safe environment without endangering people, property, or wildlife.
2. To develop a beautiful, well‐maintained space, open to all dog lovers and friends who are willing to uphold the park's rules and restrictions.
3. To view this park as a community project, in partnership with the City of Atlanta, designed to satisfy the needs of dog‐owners and non‐dog owners alike.

I honestly cannot believe how many people are actually talking about this now because I really just started this on a whim while waiting for my golden retriever to chase a squirrel. It feels like the neighborhood finally agrees that we need this space so I am going to start looking into how to actually get someone from the city to listen to us.

Great idea for the space. Would be nice to have a spot to meet neighbors while walking the dog.
Living right by the park and my golden retriever would love a place to run around. We really need this close by.
We just moved to the neighborhood and my pup is so lonely. This would be perfect for us!
Yes! Candler Park needs a dedicated spot for dogs. Everyone is always asking for this.
PLEASE get this done. The drive to the other parks is just too much traffic every single weekend.
We are moving to Candler Park with our two dogs and we need this!

This would be a great addition to the existing green space. I would love to take my dog there when I stay in the area. Yes Atlanta has many dog parks, but traffic getting to some of them is horrible. Having more parks in walking distance is great for the owners. It also helps to encourage community interactions.
