The City of Delray already allowed a huge apartment complex at Lake Ida and Congress, for which there is NO road development to handle the traffic. A project at Lake Ida and Barwick is totally unacceptable, in light of the fact that the roads are already congested.
Live in Begley Park and bought there because it was a quiet area. This development would undermine the main reason that we bought and it would also bring down property values. Would not have a problem if it was a subdivision similar to ours.
There is no need for more housing right there, this was once all nurseries, all around, and no need for big roads or dealing with congestion. The city never widened the roads, they are exactly the same as 20 years ago pretty much. Anymore housing around there is going to be horrible.
This is a public safety issue. Hundreds of students walk to and from Banyon Creek Elem on daily basis along Barwick Rd and additional traffic from a multi unit complex so close to the school and will be disastrous and somebody will get hurt or worse!
In our already crowded city why build a complex right next to an overcrowded school. You already tried to build a rehab facility in this same property. Find another neighborhood that’s able to accommodate this expansion and leave our safe and beautiful community alone.
The traffic on Barwick rd is already ridiculous and this will put a even bigger strain on those whom control traffic for the school
Further traffic congestion will endanger out children's lives - we have already had tragedies on Barwick Road. Please do not allow a rental community to be built there - the back ups are already problematic. Vote no! Dr. Terryl Lawrence

Coconut Lane and Barwick Rd already has been impacted by Walmart and a potential gas station. The traffic is especially heavy during during the morning and afternoon hours from the Banyan Creek Elementary School.
