Ban High School Graduates From the Mazama High School Band Program
Any high school graduate should not be able to come back to their high school and be able to participate in classes/activities, more precisely in the band room. These classes/activities include bus trips, regular classroom hours and pep band games. Any other activities/class time also included. Returning graduates only disrupt the class, distract the students and creates a disturbance for the student's learning rights. Signing this petition will entitle all graduated students to keep from the class room and will eliminate the above problems.
Graduated students just don't belong there. They need to get on with their
lives and leave the enrolled students alone to learn. No one benefits from them coming back
all the time. Sure it MAY make the band sound better, but how is the class going to learn from that? Its not like they can go to contests and competitions. Its just hurting the band because it gives the less than
adequate players an excuse to not play up to their ability. Of course if a graduated ADULT has a teaching degree they are allowed to come back to teach at the school they graduated from. The ticket to coming back is a teaching degree for substituting
or teaching, no more of these drop in's just for the hell of it.
