im honestly blown away by how many people feel the same way about this. it really helps to know that so many others are looking out for our pets because what happened to my friends dog just cant keep happening.

im seeing the numbers ticking up and it really means a lot. lets keep the momentum going so we can show them that people care about their pets and want things to change.

It cost me over £1000 every November to take my dog away from fire work as the relentless bangs night after night for weeks will kill her as her fear of them is so great .

Explosions in streets at all hours and for weeks on end are not acceptable. Animals and ex service personnel are vulnerable and this is unacceptably stressful. Make only silent fireworks available.

Fireworks should be used for one night only. Before then they are used as weapons and missiles to terrify animals and the elderly. Naive young people don't understand the distress they can cause. 5 days is plenty of time to buy what you need for the 5th.

I have two small chihuahuas who are absolutley terrified of fireworks. Its awful seeing the state they get into when people are letting them off at all hours. I arent against fireworks but having them at organised displays for one night seems fair to me!

As a pet owner for all my life i've seen first hand how distressing it is for my pets on the run up to bonfire night, usually many weeks before. Why the hell do the retailers have them for sale 6 weeks before bonfire night?? More money to be made i guess.

Last year whilst walking my Springer Spaniel, some illigitimate threw a firework at us from out of a car window. It exploded over my shoulder. Now I have a dog who is terrified of fireworks. My MP asked a minister about banning firework sales, but the request was refused. Good Luck with this petition.

Fireworks should be banned altogether only used at displays. The big chains of supermarkets should be ashamed they are making money out of something that was a act treason .
