the district finally agreed to close the schools because of the flood risks. i am honestly so relieved that everyone is going to be safe at home instead of on those roads today. keep an eye on the weather and stay careful out there.
It is truly unsafe for students to come to school at this time. The streets in Orange County are currently flooded. It is not even safe to go outside. Education is important but the safety of the students is even more important.
School may be important, but it isn't as important as the students safety. This weather is deadly, there is about 2 inches of flooded water in the streets right now which can easily drown a student. I wouldn't risk the safety of my fellow students just to go to school.

Theres barely anywhere to walk even when it rains just a small amount, but yesterday was a straight down poor and will leave students trudging through knee high water puddles just to get to class and could cause accidents. It is safer to avoid any risk at all and cancel school for the day

School is honestly unsafe. Most of these high schools are flooded and the rain will continue to put tomorrow. Kids driving to school in this weather is extremely dangerous and I don't want my kid participating in this.

The street in front of my house is covered a foot deep in water. I almost got in a car accident 3 times today. Please dont make students go to school at a hectic time like this. Traffic is especially going to be dangerous in the morning.

I have zero period and when I get to school campus, the lights aren't very bright so I can barely see where I'm going. I've slipped a few times as well due to big and unexpected puddles around the campus.

Please. Do not subject the students of the AUHSD district to a fate you wouldn't deal with yourself. Wet=unhappy, wet, and danger. Either consider the weather's interference with our safety or buy all of us rain equipment such as rain boots, raincoats, and umbrellas. Oh and one last thing all of those items need to be in dress code.
