I have submitted a formal request to the department head outlining the student demand for an ASL curriculum. We are now awaiting a confirmed time to discuss the logistics of faculty recruitment and course accreditation.

I think this would be a great idea. I have been looking into learning ASL for a couple of years and was going to do it at University of Georgia over the summer, but if GGC offered one online I would defiantly consider taking it here.
My cousin in deaf, and I would live to be able to communicate properly with her for the first time.
I think it would be wonderful to have a a sign language class!! We have quite a number of deaf students at GGC anyway. I believe it is necessary :)
I would love to have a asl class at ggc ! It’s something I have always wanted to learn. I think it would be a great opportunity for the diverse campus like ggc, if more people knew asl. This way more people could feel welcome and included in our tiny community at gcc.
I've taken Arabic, Latin, and Spanish and there is no language I want more and think is more useful than ASL

This would be great to have as a person who will want to work in a hospital where I see ASL used all the time! Thank you for creating this!
