We are a school that needs an expanded world language department. Colquitt county high school provides a three course pathway for language courses... Except American sign Language. In order to receive the zell scholarship , students must have three years of a language, so without a third class for this language, many students can not achieve this. Also, deaf students depend on this course, so without all three courses, deaf students aren't able to receive a scholarship. Please consider signing this petition, because education is extremely important, and without this class, we, the students, can not reach our full potential.

The administration has acknowledged the volume of this support and agreed to a formal meeting to discuss current course pathway requirements. I am now finalizing a proposal that outlines how adding a third year of American Sign Language impacts scholarship eligibility for our students.

This is such an important class to many people. ASL is a world language, it deserves to have its 3rd class.
Everyone deserves to have 3 year language in order for the scholarship please consider it!
come on you guys every one deserves to have a full education, as well as the full knowledge of ASL. Just as the other languages have in this school. ~Potato Breath~
I don't take ASL, but I think all students should have the chance to master a language.
Ok I agree upon this for those who want to max out the class for the third as like a mastery type class...

Very important program. I have relatives who are deaf and there are a lack of interpreters.
