Elect Nate Young President of art Center

Many of you proudly and courageously stood up last year, and helped send a message to the Art Center Board of Trustees that it was time to make a change at the top. Additionally and equally as disturbing, there are still many preexisting appointees who are on campus, needlessly draining funds from the budget, and seem to still be trying to carry out the old misguided management vision of the past 7-8 years. These are funds that should be utilized to directly help students to obtain a great education. We are most fortunate to have Dr. Frank Ellsworth acting as Interim President and holding the school together until the Presidential Search Committee has found the best person to come and run Art Center. BUT IN FACT we do not need to look very far, since we already have someone who can and will heal a fractured and broken Art Center, and that person is NATE YOUNG. Nate is one of US - which I define as a core group of Business professionals in Design, Alumni of Art Center, Faculty and Students, all of whom have a great love of Art Center. Art Center has veered dangerously way too far from the core attributes that made it great. Nate Young knows full well the core essence of what made the school unique for its students and unique in the market place. What concerns us now is that the unique history of Art Center is slowly being tarnished. Nate Young knows how to measure and motivate talent, and to make sure that students receive extraordinary high value at Art Center, and knows that we must maintain the exemplary skills necessary for the companies who will want to employ our students. We the undersigned respectfully request the Board of Trustees consider Nate Young as the President and CEO of Art Center, to heal our beloved school. If you agree then please make your voice heard and sign this petition and tell us why you agree. Then tell 25 of your fellow Art Center Alums, students, faculty, administration and business leaders to sign this petition as well. We will ensure that the Presidential Search Committee, and the Board of Trustees, hears us loud and clear. THANK YOU FOR CARING
