STOP THE ARCHER NOISE!

The Weekend Drag Racing Noise is out of control, so let's join together to get some Peace & Quiet!

Step 1: Join Together and Organize.

Step 2: Contact the Alderman

Step 3: Peace & Quiet

Updates

May 15, 2020

The Alderman is still hiding from our emails while the drag racing continues to tear up our streets every weekend. This silence is a pathetic insult to everyone living with this constant racket. We need to keep piling on the pressure until they are forced to deal with the chaos.

The nightly drag racing is beyond disruptive. The drag racing starts at 9 or 10 pm and can go until 1 or 3 am. This has happened more frequently over the last month. Archer is a busy street so in addition to the noise it also poses a threat to safety of residents in our neighborhood.

We should add speed signs with cameras and radars that take pictures. Also, having a police car staked out on 23rd Street near the corner with a speed gun at high traffic times would help. I've heard the racers get together down the street near the White Castle and do help each other pay for tickets but Chicago needs revenue and enough speeding tickets will cause a license suspension. Thanks for doing this.

The noise is unbearable. The city really needs to address this. This activity is illegal, insanely dangerous and extremely disruptive to all that live on or near Archer.

I dread Fri and Sat nights because of the noise

I've called the police and emailed the alderman about the drag racing a few weeks ago.

These cars should NOT be allowed to drag race on such a small residential streets!
