PETITION FOR REDUCTION OF 2023 ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTION
We refer to the Institute’s demand notice issued on 21st December, 2022 announcing a 50% increase in annual membership subscription and would like to humbly plead with you for a reconsideration of the increment.
As you may be aware the country is currently going through a cost of living crisis and employers are finding it hard to maintain current wage levels let alone agree to wage increments, which is greatly affecting the standard of living of most members.
Much as we also acknowledge that the Institute’s operations are also affected by the situation, a 50% increment is too high for most members to cope with. We would therefore plead with the Institute in the spirit of burden sharing to consider bringing the amount down to Gh¢ 1,000 to make it affordable for members to fulfil their obligation on time to remain in good standing with the Institute as we brainstorm other means of raising revenue.
We hope our petition would be given the needed attention.

Subscription was increased just last year by ₵150. And after one year it's going up by ₵400? That's too much to take. Salaries have not been increased. Economic conditions have gone worst. I suggest the subscription be maintained at. ₵800.

The economic hardship is affecting us as individuals more than the institute. Consider the hardship in the economy please.
