They actually listened and officially banned the slaughter of these beautiful animals so I am honestly just buzzing with so much relief right now. It feels surreal that we pulled this off but please stay sharp and keep an eye on how they enforce the rules because we cannot let …

In America no potbellied pigs is bred for food they are bred for companion animals or household pets. They provide programs that help those with disabilities. We urge Congress to pass this law. Please sign the petition to end the horrific slaughter of potbellied pigs for human consumption.

I just looked at the screen and saw we hit one hundred signatures which is honestly kind of surreal since I started this on a total whim while sitting on my porch. My own pig was snoring right next to me and it just felt so wrong that these friends are being treated like livestock. Thank you for actually seeing why this matters.

I see the numbers creeping up toward a hundred and it makes me think about all the pigs that are actually just pets living in people's houses right now. Can everyone grab their phone and send this link to a few people who might not know this is happening so we can finally push past that milestone?

There are enough potbelly pig pets now that people can begin to understand their incredible intelligence, personality, and zest for life. Please protect them as you do our other pets. Thank you.

I have had pet potbellied pigs for over 23 years. These are the best pets I have ever had. The Slaughter of these pets must stop at once. My pigs always provided education for kids with disabilities. STOP THE SLAUGHTER NOW.!!

What a disgrace. I also own horses and am all too familiar with the fight re slaughter for human consumption. As a new piggy owner, I am horrified that this is happening with these VERY domesticated animals. I am very thankful to have stumbled across your website. Please keep up the great work you do!

I have a pot bellied named Abby. No good information was found on her until 6 to 9 mo after we had her from a piglet. Today she is half wild but still the greatest pleasure of my retired life. I want and need another one for a full time house mate.

Adopted my Ollie when he was a baby and he's now 2 years old. He's amazing. So intelligent and loving. He makes me laugh every day. I will always have a pot bellied pig. I've had many different types of pets but Ollie is by far the most loving (yes, even moreso than dogs or cats).

Potbellied Pigs are most amazing pets! They are better behaved than most dogs and cats. They do not smell, make noise, shed or destroy. I have 4 dogs, cat and rabbit and by far! My pig is easier than all of them together. They are not "farm animals"!
