I absolutely agree that PBP's should not be killed and used for food consumption! These are very intelligent animals and are not meant to be food.

We share our home with Lulubell a 26 month old potbelly. She is highly intelligent and lovable. A creature that special should never be slaughtered for food.

If you can own a dog or cat then all other pets weather they be goats, sheep, pigs, chickens should be aloud as well.

I live in Canada and find that pot bellied pigs are not allowed in most towns. I have had one for two years and now am told I have to get rid of her. She is a wonderful, sensitive pet and would be very sad without her family. Is putting her to sleep really better than allowing her to live in my very big, fenced back yard and live in my house? What do they really call humane?

I love my piggy! He is the best pet and more like a human toddler in behavior. They are very smart and show a lot of love.

This is discusting. :/ Pigs in general are way too smart to be considered food animals.

I fell in love with my mini when I was on vacation in Texas. Thankfully I had bought a house that was zoned agricultural and didn't have to worry about zoning. However I think it is bogus that you can't keep a pet pig in the house that is no different than any other household pet.

I'm also signing a petition for Amanda Zfeeks, a nice lady who has a young family with a recent addition Wilbur, a potbellied pig that apparently, per Ordinance 73, isn't welcome in the city of Grainfield, Kansas. I was going that it might be possible for this organization to lend her a hand in being able to keep their pet. She is attempting to use Change.org to effect a change in the city statutes back there. Thanks, Bruce

Being a miniature pig owner I just don't get this.

These are pets and it's time for them to be treated as such.
