We ask the administration to allow students to carry backpacks throughout the day, and allow option locker usage. Backpacks help students to stay organized, have all materials, and make it to class promptly. Some students lockers are a great distance from the classrooms and hallway traffic will only slow them down to reach their locker. Rules about phones should be subject to the teachers request, each have set guidelines. Phones are very important for students safety and communication with parents. Phones can be placed in backpacks so they are still within reach in case of emergency High school is supposed to be fun and enjoyable, however, these new rules will make it miserable.

Because my backpack won’t fit in my locker and nothing bad is going on with us carrying them around and it’s easier to.
I suggests having students put backpacks underneath their desk to avoid an tripping hazard.
I do not have enough time to get from 0 hour to my first hour as it is, I can’t make it if I have to put my backpack away as well and it’s just more convenient to have it!!!
Backpacks would be very useful to people if we didn’t have back packs we would be later to clase and always forgetting stuff in are lockers
We should have the right to carry our belongings and not have them taken away because of certain students who cannot handle them . Respectfully.
Let us keep our back packs on us so we don’t have to be late to class trying to figure out our locker combos
Just bc you trip over a bag we don’t get have our backpacks in class..

Phones are a safety concern. So many school shootings have had rapid response because of students alerting people outside of the school of the situation. Do NOT take this from students. Signed a concerned parent.
