This whole incident with the Nazi flag happened AFTER the ROT event was closed and over! It was a setup from the get go! These German Re-enactors do NOT get paid to participate at ROT. It's a shame that the Bay County Historical Society is so short minded and has no backbone to stand up to the few that want to ignore history! What a shame!!

history should not be banned. don't fulfill George Orwells predictions of rewriting or hiding historical facts, education and knowledge is key to maintaining a free Republic.

Reenactments need all elements to show the story in it's truth. Not having the Germans for a WWII show is like not having the English for the Revolution. Please put the Germans back where they belong!

As long as they are not a hate group espousing hatred and violence, they belong a part of this historical re-enactment.

Let's not turn this into a liberal v conservative thing. I'm extremely liberal, and I completely agree that history needs to be taught and preserved.

We can't erase history. As a WWII reenactor and living historian, i humbly beg you to allow German reenactors back in. All sides need to be represented. All sides.

You can't censor history just because you don't like it

That fact that Germans are not allowed to attend this is absolutely disgusting. That is blatantly disregarding history and attempting to wipe away the past. The reason people reenact German Soldiers is to keep history alive and present in the minds of our nation. It helps us remember how an entire country came together to do the impossible and help free the planet from fascism. You are disgracing the veterans who actually fought for this freedom.
